Tito Zuhda, Winner of the Boys’ Singles U-14

At the beginning of the tournament, Tito Zuhda (age 12) smoothly sailed through the tournament, beating all of his opponents with ease. However, things got tougher for him on the Finals Match. He met his Rival, Claudio, who had beaten him in the previous meet. Tito and Claudio overall head-to-head score was 1-2 for Claudio before this match.

Tito was having a tough time finding his groove on the first set, making many unforced errors and unwise decisions, leaving him losing the first set 4-6. Tito started off his second set hitting with a lot of topspin and hitting the ball early, leaving his opponent in daze. Part of his winning strategy was also his accurate first serve, leaving his opponent 1-6 on the second set.

After a tough battle on the third set tie-break, Tito finally won his finals match with a score 4-6, 6-1, 10-8.
